Class Instructor: Carolyn McCarthy

MBSR is an 8-week evidence-based mindfulness training program developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn. Mindfulness helps us live more fully in the present moment with skill and ease, facing good times and bad with more awareness and better access to inner resources. 

Class includes: 
  • Guided instruction on mindfulness ideas and skills
  • Hands-on exercises and practices including sitting meditations, body scans, and mindful movement
  • Discussions with peers on how to apply mindfulness in everyday life
  • Support for building your own personal mindfulness practice
  • A retreat day at Semiahmoo: Saturday, May 11th, 9am-4pm
