Class Instructor: Carolyn McCarthy
MBSR is an 8-week evidence-based mindfulness training program developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn. Mindfulness helps us live more fully in the present moment with skill and ease, facing good times and bad with more awareness and better access to inner resources.
Class includes:
- Guided instruction on mindfulness ideas and skills
- Hands-on exercises and practices including sitting meditations, body scans, and mindful movement
- Discussions with peers on how to apply mindfulness in everyday life
- Support for building your own personal mindfulness practice
- A retreat day at Semiahmoo: Saturday, May 11th, 9am-4pm
